Mel and I have spent MONTHS trying to make this session happen.
But with an insanely busy autumn schedule (#photographerlife) and her having a super busy and active family (hello life with a 1 year old) we were having some trouble. Not to mention we live seven hours away! So we were both INSANELY excited when I texted her one evening that I was going to be able to move some things around and sneak up to New Jersey for one night to photograph her sweet family. This girl had two days notice to throw together family outfits and OMG did she pull it off or what? Seriously PERFECT autumn wardrobe: not matchy-matchy, but effortlessly coordinated! And this location with this weather, I’m SO glad this session didn’t work out any sooner because we wouldn’t have had this peak fall foliage in this awesome location if we’d done it at any other time. Perfect timing!
During the session we were all dying laughing. Tickling, running around on this awesome porch and cracking jokes… that’s kind of the LCP specialty! I just love it when my clients have AUTHENTIC laughs and smiles so they can look back on their photos are remember what an amazing time they had and how precious their sweet baby was. Not a forced smile that comes from bribery… I’m all about the genuine moments.
Mel I’m SO glad we made this happen and thrilled that you love the photos as much as I do. You had the kindest words and I will drive to NJ ANYTIME to photograph you guys again! ‘Cause let’s be real… flattery will get you super far with me! 🙂 And this location was STUNNING!
