It was darn cold for this session, but these beauties rocked it out and their session completely flew by! These two kept it nice and snuggly, wrapped up in each others arms for warmth but also adorableness. Seriously, they make such a cute couple! They’re both outdoorsy (seriously she goes out west for hunting every year!) so I immediately thought of the perfect location for their session. Pleasure House Point is awesome because it has a nice mix of both woods and beach. That’s one thing I really love about Virginia Beach, it’s super diverse and there are so many awesome spots like this!
This was Chris’ first time having professional photos done (since the old picture days in school) so he was a bit nervous, but after the session he thanked me a ton and said he was just so pleased with how easy the process was and how fun we made it! That’s my goal at 100% of my sessions and I’m always excited when I can change someones mind about what they THINK a photo session is like… especially if they’re just imagining having to plaster a fake smile onto their face for an hour. That’s NOT what we’re about! Chris is definitely a more stoic guy. He’s a military man and former Rodeo star, but we got some serious smiles and laughs out of this one complete with a set of dimples. I just know Meredith is going to cherish these photos when Chris deploys later on this year.
I LOVE LOVE LOVE that they wanted to include their bassador pup in their photo session. She’s a new addition to their little family and it was a blast taking her to the beach for the first time. We didn’t quite know what to expect, but we were all SHOCKED when she dove right into the water!
