All of the boxes are unpacked. Everything has been tucked away into our new home. We’re officially Virginians. We even have the drivers licenses to prove it. But this isn’t the first time we’ve done this. Nope, it’s actually just been about four years since we left the commonwealth. If I’m being totally honest, we weren’t crazy excited to come back… but now that we’re here… we’re so glad!
The past month(ish) has been spent unpacking boxes, exploring our neighborhood, reconnecting with old friends, and trying some delicious local restaurants! Oh and learning all about being homeowners. Yep, for the first time we’re homeowners! We’re been learning how the heck to fix a leaky toilet to properly cutting down trees and even what to do when bunnies won’t stop poo-ing all over your patio! (An adorable, but still icky problem to have.) But now it’s time to get down to business… literally. In the midst of all that we’ve also been working furiously at a total rebrand of LCP! Tony has worked insanely hard hand vectoring (drawing) a new logo for me… because even though I found eight-dozen swirly fonts I liked, none of them had just the right about of curl. S0 he made it for me!!! I’ve been working day and night on massive upgrades to the website. This new site is more streamlined for easier browsing, larger image displays and praise the Lord it looks good on mobile! Because honestly, 90% of the time we’re on our phones right? Even though I designed this thing on a 27″ iMac doesn’t change the fact that most people (myself included) will be viewing it on a screen that fits in their pocket or pocketbook. I’ve spent the past year slowly cultivating my pinterest board with things that make me happy, colors that inspire me, anything that just catches my eye and sticks with me. That’s how the colors, logo styles and overall feel of the brand have come to be. This brand is just ME. We went through over 60 logo designs, tested dozens of shades until we found the perfect Pantone colors, and TONS of font choices. New USBs, business cards, thank you notes and all of the fun extras are being ordered and arriving soon!
Ok enough rambling. Long story short… we did a lot of work and have poured a lot of personal touches into this new site and we truly hope you enjoy it!
